This first in our Public Domain series, Letters from Aston is a lightly golden hazy IPA. Brewed with wheat & oats, the light bodied, soft mouthfeel ale has bitterness faded in the background, to let the hop character shine. With equal amounts Azacca, Amarillo, Citra & Idaho 7, it delivers flavor & aromas of tropical punch, sweet citrus, melon & mango, stamped with soft floral notes.
The Postman (Joseph-Étienne Roulin) Vincent van Gogh
1889 c. The Barnes Foundation
Van Gogh, a Dutch master whose greatness was only recognized by fellow artists during his lifetime, struggled with mental illness. He did not have many stable relationships, but he did have one with a local postman, Joseph Etienne-Roulin. The Postman, a series of six portraits of Roulin, are emotionally layered paintings that reflect the stability and friendship to Van Gogh, especially as his mental health deteriorated.
