We’ve released TWO barrel aged Smoked Porters. Ruby and Bob brewed the Porter with malt smoked over cherry wood charcoal, giving it an intense and lovely smokiness. From there, Ruby split the batch and barrel aged one in red wine barrels and the other went into rye whiskey barrels.
Vermelho Fumaça, 7.0%, Barrel Aged Smoked Porter. Aged for 9 months in Cabernet Sauvignon barrels.
The aging has subdued the smokiness and has allowed the grape characteristics to blend in nicely. The barrels lend for a great depth of wood and oak.
Available on draft & limited bottles.
Uísque Fumaça, 7.0%, Barrel Aged Smoked Porter. Aged in Rye Whiskey barrels for 9 months.
This one is more smokier on the nose, heavy on vanilla, caramel, & there’s a touch of whiskey.
