Announcing our Barrel-2-Bottle Program

We respect wood. A big part of this little thing called 2SP Brewing was a carefully thought out barrel program that included a variety of styles aged in hand selected oak barrels. Now, after much time and restraint, the beers are finally ready. Each beer has matured, gained new complexity, and has taken on a new form in the barrels they have been aging in for the past year.

Ruby, our Head Cellarman, and Bob have kept a tight eye on the barrels, making sure each beer has matured properly, that the yeasts are working their little funky magic, and the barrels have added the right amount of flavor to the beer. Now that these beers are ready we want to make sure our most loyal supporters have immediate access to them.

The Barrel-2-Bottle program (B2B) is an offering to our biggest supporters to insure that they receive 6 limited releases plus an exclusive beer brewed just for being a member of B2B. We currently house over 50 oak barrels; Bourbon barrels, wine casks, a Foeder, and Barolo cask, so, yes, there’s a nice variety of beers for the program.
B2B members will receive bottles of the limited and highly sought after Russian the Bourbon, a beer that has made Bob Barrar nationally recognized as one of the country’s best brewers, as well as a Belgian Tripel aged in Chardonnay barrels, among many other select styles and barrels.

B2B has different membership options for releases that will be offered typically every other month until the end of the year:
Tier 1- $150. 1 bottle of each B2B release. Limited to 100 members.
Tier 2- $250. 2 bottles of each B2B releases. Limited to 50 members.
Tier 3- $350. 4 bottles of each B2B release. Limited to 25 members.

An added bonus to becoming a B2B member you will receive the following:
-An exclusive party at the end of the year for B2B members only. Bob and Ruby will crack open some of their favorite bottles and offer some of their favorite beers on draft. Oh, and we will feed you too.
-First dibs on new bottle releases. For bottles not in the B2B program, we will open an hour early just for members to make sure they get first grabs.
-First chance to re-up on 2017’s membership, which will continue to be a very limited program.

Membership will be open beginning March 5th

New Beer Release

Tuesday, February 23rd, our coffee infused SIP, Bean n’ Gone, will be released at the tasting room. Bob and Ruby worked with our friends at Greenstreet Roasters to create this delicious infusion of beer and coffee. They picked an Ethiopian coffee bean, that will be darkly roasted, to infuse with our SIP. The bean has hints of blueberry with a strong mocha character. This will blend with the SIP to not necessarily make it a beer that, well, tastes like coffee. Instead this bean will blend with the beer to add an additional complex ingredient that blends with flavors already found in SIP and bring out the softer flavors found in coffee. Bean n’ Gone is 7.5% in ABV and 50 IBU. Don’t miss out on this one.

Private Event

2SP Tasting Room will be closed, Saturday, February 20th from 12-3pm for a private event.

New Beer! ‘Depths Unknown’ is a dry-hopped American Tripel. A Westmalle yeast strain was used to finish the beer at 9.5% with no burn, the right balance of sweetness and big American hop flavors of citrus and pine. Not to mention, the beer was dry hopped with Simcoe and Centennial, while also throwing a bunch of Chinook in too.

FIRST BOTTLE RELEASE

Bob and Ruby’s Bourbon Barrel Aged Belgian Tripel, 9.0%, reserve bottles (750ml) will be available only at the tasting room. Will be released on Thursday, February 11th. We open at 3pm.
